The British Isles has a long and colourful history stretching back thousands of years and this is reflected in the city guides listed on this site. From the Roman ruins of Chester and York to the Georgian elegance of Bath there are an abundance of attractions to occupy all visitors. The capital, London, is one of the world's top cities and its unique energy will satisfy the most descerning traveller.
The many varied highlights for London range from the grizzly experience of the Tower of London to the dazzling views of the London Eye. No visit to the city would be complete without admiring the grand majesty of the Houses of Parliament or  Westminster Abbey.
York Minster, in the North of England, is one of the largest cathedrals in Europe and the National Railway Museum in the same city, also counts as the biggest of it's kind in Europe. Further north a visit to Scotland would not be complete without experiencing the lofty fortress of Edinburgh Castle. The above map of Britain should be useful when gauging distances between various places of interest. |
